Make Sitting Count!

Make Sitting Count!

The human race was designed to thrive through movement NOT sitting. Checking in with ourselves to ensure we are using our bodies as we were designed to, can NEVER BE DONE TOO FREQUENTLY. Because the more we sit the less we thrive.

We MOT our cars but how often do we MOT our bodies?

TWO essential factors to consider with your sitting MOT:

  1. Does every task you undertake require you to sit? For example, why sit when talking on the phone or via Zoom? Why sit to have a conversation with a friend or colleague, why not walk and talk? Why sit and have a coffee when you could stand?
  2. Of course there are times when it is necessary to sit. However, you could make that sitting time work FOR YOUR HEALTH and not against it.

How to invest in your health while you sit:

Here are three videos to help you improve your POSTURE, your CORE STRENGTH and your FLEXIBILITY.

What’s not to love?

Strengthening your core

Moving and flexing your muscles and joints!

Correct sitting posture!

If you are unable to position yourself as I suggest, try a different chair – table arrangement. Whatever you need to change or do more of, keep referring back to these changes, to check you are tuning in as best you can, for the benefit of your health.

BUT REMEMBER:

No amount of sitting correctly helps you power and protect your body, for the life you want. What does is to…

Move as you’re naturally designed in everything you do.
